We found this place before our trip to Peggy’s Cove on google and thought we’d give it a try. The restaurant is so nicely laid out and has an amazing view. Janice took care of us when we came in and she was the nicest! Explained the menu and was super patient with our group. The lobster Mac was the best I’ve ever had! We all loved everything we ordered, but that lobster mac truly was the star! It’s not too far of a walk from the lighthouse, but there is parking here as well. 10/10 experience, we loved it!
What a wonderful dining experience, everything was immaculate. The ambiance was incredible with perfect views of the lovely terrain. The inside of the bistro has been impeccably designed with a clean layout and large windows to spotlight the surrounding environment. The food was delicious. Local wines, lobster Mac, chili (omg cornbread), lemon cake and local ice cream were devine. Bubba Magoos Bistro is a must if you are planning a meal at Peggy's Cove.
We visited on a cold and rainy day. After visiting the lighthouse we wanted to warm up but the restaurant at the point was over busy and we’d seen Bubba Magoos when we drove in. We found an easy parking spot there and were wonderfully surprised by the delicious food. Between us we had the Halibut Chowder and the Hodge Podge, both accompanied by cornbread. Mmmm, so yummy! Janice was a wonderful host and just lovely. There were great views from upstairs. Do yourself a favour and eat here - you can’t miss the purple building as you enter Peggy’s Cove!
Best mocha my daughter ever had. They also make their own oat milk for people who can’t have dairy. Try to sit up top where the view is great!
What a gem of a spot! Food and drinks were absolutely delicious! Janice was a great hostess and even gave us recommendations for our trip! They even have the cutest gift shop with homemade fudge to boot! A must-stop on your way to Peggy’s Cove!
Be sure to stop here to enjoy exceptional cuisine and atmosphere at Bubba Magoos!!! I had the Mushroom Arancini, and it was fabulous! My husband had the fish and chips, which was tender and tasty. Yes, I tried a bite. :) We shared the Chicken Karaag as a starter, which was light and savory. The interior was clean and bright with exceptional views and friendly, attentive service. What a treat on this rainy day.
A bit away from the business of the cove, but well worth the extra steps! Delicious fish & chips. Very pleasant experience. Owner on site was terrific and provided some great history on the area. Be sure to look to your LEFT as you enter into Peggy’s Cove!
Amazing gem in a beautiful location! The food is spectacular, service amazing and the views are stunning. Highly recommend a quick drive down the road from the lighthouse to The Bistro - it’s definitely worth stopping.
